Monoclonal Antibody Therapy: Free CME & Patient Resources
Developed through a partnership between NJAFP, Medscape Education and the Infectious Diseases Society of America
Five activities and up to 2.25 hours of free on-demand CME on monoclonal antibody therapy for patients with COVID-19 is available now from NJAFP, Medscape, and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. You’ll get the latest data and information plus expert perspectives on treatment, and patient stories about their experience with treatment. There are also handouts and posters for your office and online patient education explaining the treatment.
Clinical Advances in Neutralizing the Pandemic: The Multiple Roles for Neutralizing Monoclonal Antibodies in COVID-19
Hundreds of agents and vaccines are under investigation to prevent and treat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Among them, treatment with neutralizing monoclonal antibodies (nAbs) has shown promise in their ability to neutralize the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus and confer passive immunity. NAbs can be instrumental in preventing progression to severe disease, and they have the potential to provide a prophylaxis option to individuals who have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2, which may be critical until vaccines are widely available. This curriculum provides an overview of the underlying science and emerging evidence on the use of these agents.
