What We Do
Since 1948, NJAFP has served its members, the healthcare community, and residents of New Jersey with important programs and services. We are committed to advancing our mission by providing opportunities for our members to improve the delivery of high quality primary care that they are uniquely suited to provide to their patients and continue to make positive contributions to the healthcare system.
To this end the NJAFP has encouraged family physicians to engage in life-long continuing professional development and embrace practice innovations and transformation to achieve the best quality care and outcomes for their patients.
NJAFP spends a significant amount of our time as the voice of primary care advocating for family medicine in Trenton and keeping the State of New Jersey out of your exam rooms. And NJAFP is true to the foundation of family medicine and offers volunteer programs for family physicians to remain engaged in their communities with preventative and wellness programs such as Tar Wars and the Special Olympics.
