2020 NJAFP/F Golf Invitational Set for September
The NJAFP Foundation is pleased to announce its 2020 Golf Invitational will be held Monday, September 28, 2020. It will be supporting the “Keeping Care Primary in New Jersey” campaign (keepnjdocs.org). Over 60% of our primary care medical residents are taking their medical training and leaving New Jersey. This campaign supports medical school, legislative and practice model initiatives designed to invest in primary care in New Jersey.
The Golf Invitational will be held at Forsgate Country Club. This charity event is a great opportunity for you to connect with friends, colleagues and clients from across the state while supporting a meaningful cause. In addition to golfing, a wide variety of sponsorship opportunities are available, including breakfast, lunch, contest holes, carts and more. You can even sponsor a resident/student individual golfer or foursome.
Please consider supporting this important campaign. Check our newsletter, website and social media regularly for more updates on how to register! If you are interested in sponsoring, please contact Sandi Selzer at email@example.com.
Highlights from NJAFP Foundation's Inaugural Golf Invitational!
The NJAFP Foundation's Inaugural Golf Invitational, which after a two-month delay, finally went off beautifully at Linwood Country Club August 21, 2019.
The event included 51 attendees (45 golfers), who enjoyed a beautiful (and hot!) day on the course. The Redeye foursome swept the day, coming in first with a score of 63 and also won the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin contests. Joe Howley from Dr. Schauer’s foursome won the other Closest to the Pin contest.
The event was made possible by our 36 sponsors, including hole sponsors, meal sponsors, contest sponsors and player sponsors – not to mention homemade honey by Dr. B and other great takeaways from Vanguard and AtlantiCare! We couldn’t have done this event without the support of our friends and partners and cannot thank you enough.
A special thanks to Dr. Joe Schauer, who chaired the event and provided NJAFP staff with guidance and motivation, despite the downpour that canceled our event in June. For those of you who could not attend the rescheduled event, we hope to see you next year!
The Foundation will use the proceeds from this event to continue its important campaign, Keeping Care Primary in New Jersey (http://keepnjdocs.org/). Over 60% of our primary care physicians are taking their medical training and leaving the State, citing their inability to tackle medical school debt if they remain in NJ’s unfriendly primary care environment. We hope you and/or your organization will continue to support this cause through future NJAFP Foundation events and campaigns.
