Terry Shlimbaum, MD

VNA of Central Jersey Community Health Center Dr. Shlimbaum is currently the Chief Medical Officer for the VNA of Central Jersey Community Health Center. He is a recognized leader in family medicine, medical homes, quality improvement, and clinical integration. Before becoming the CMO of VNACJ CHC he was the medical director of two health plans for ArchCare in New York. Prior to that he was the Chief of Adult Primary Care and Physician Integration at Summit Medical Group and Medical Director at Phillips-Barber and Delaware Valley Family Health Centers, the out-patient teaching sites for the Hunterdon Family Medicine Residency program. Prior to that he was in private practice for thirty years in Califon, NJ.
He is a past President of the New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Community and Family Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr. Shlimbaum earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Harvard University and his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his residency at Hunterdon Medical Center Family Practice in Flemington. He is board certified in family medicine.
