The First Line of Defense is a 4-part podcast specifically created for primary care providers to share recent advances and technology in the early detection of pancreatic cancer.
In under an hour, listeners will hear from fellow primary care providers, researchers, patients, advocates, and specialists to learn about the newest developments in assessing risk factors, symptoms, and the use of AI in early detection.
Accreditation Statement
The AAFP has reviewed The First Line of Defense: Primary Care Clinicians and Early Detection of Pancreatic Cancer and deemed it acceptable for up to 1.00 Enduring Materials, Self-Study AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from 11/01/2024 to 10/31/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
Expert Faculty
Jon Hallberg, MD, is a family medicine physician and Medical Director at University of Minnesota Physicians - Mill City Clinic. He enjoys innovative care practices, such as the incorporation of artwork and the performing arts into medicine, as well as a focus on health communication. Dr. Hallberg serves as the Director of Philanthropy within the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School and is a regular medical analyst on Minnesota Public Radio. He also founded, directs, and hosts Hippocrates Cafe, an ongoing series of events that explores health care topics using professional actors and musicians.
