Get Involved with NJAFP in 2026

The New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians invites members to play an active role in shaping the future of the Academy by submitting resolutions and board nominations for consideration at the 2026 NJAFP Annual Meeting, May 1–3, 2026, at the Tropicana in Atlantic City.

Call for Resolutions

The House of Delegates is where NJAFP policy is debated, refined, and adopted—and your ideas matter. Submitting a resolution is an opportunity to:

  • Establish or revise Academy policy
  • Request the implementation of Academy Programs
  • Address issues impacting New Jersey family physicians and the specialty of family medicine
  • Recommend eliminating activities considered non-essential
  • Recognize colleagues through resolutions of commendation or memorial

If there’s an issue you care about, this is your chance to make your voice heard.

Deadline to submit: Friday, April 3, 2026

Resolutions may be submitted by emailing Jess Sowden at jsowden@njafp.org (Please include “NJAFP HOD Resolution” in the subject line.)

Call for Board Nominations

NJAFP is also seeking nominations for open positions on its Board of Directors. Serving on the Board is a meaningful way to:

  • Help guide the strategic direction of the Academy
  • Represent the interests of family physicians across New Jersey
  • Contribute leadership, insight, and experience to NJAFP’s mission

We encourage members to consider nominating themselves or a colleague who is passionate about family medicine and committed to advancing the profession.

When members step forward—by sharing ideas or serving in leadership—our Academy grows stronger. We hope you’ll consider getting involved and joining us in Atlantic City this May.
