Centrastate Family Medicine Residency Program Closure

Atlantic Health System plans to close the Centrastate Family Medicine Residency Program despite the critical role it plays in mitigating the health needs of the community it serves.  NJAFP urges Atlantic Health System and CentraState Medical Center to reconsider. This decision to close the program is deleterious to the health of the diverse and vulnerable patient population it serves.

The problems identified in the CHNA of 2016 had the CentraState Family Medicine Residency as the present and future key to healthcare access solutions in the Greater Freehold area.  Have all those issues been resolved in that short time? That's doubtful.
