AAFP Recommends Against Pelvic Exams in Asymptomatic Women

In a departure from a recent U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendation statement, the AAFP has recommended against conducting screening pelvic exams in asymptomatic women.

FDA: No Prescription Codeine, Tramadol for Kids Under 12

On April 20, the FDA issued a safety announcement restricting the use of codeine and tramadol in children and requiring labeling changes to prescription medications containing these ingredients.
